At Elysium hair stylists in Haslemere, we are constantly looking to keep on top of the new trends and rock the latest styles. We’ve been flicking through the looks that we think are set to define 2017 and thought we’d share them with you. Not only that, but we paired the styles with our Aveda range products (all natural and organic!). This way you will know exactly how to re-create them yourself.
Firstly, effortless looking curls- they’re everywhere! If you follow celebrities, you’ve almost definitely seen them on the likes of Kendall Jenner and although we’re sure she has her own hairstylist, they are not that hard to create! Wash and dry your hair first, we recommend Aveda’s Shampure shampoo. It contains rosemary and lavender, so it’s very soothing! We’ll be using straighteners for this style, so we always ensure to use Aveda’s Brilliant damage control to protect from heat damage. Sectioning the hair, you can then take the straighteners, bending them as you go, to create loose curls.
A further look which is enjoying its well earnt comeback are the beloved braids! Although they have been making a slow and steady return, we cannot help but hope they arrive in full force this festival season. However, creating them can be a little challenging, but luck for you we have tried and tested the best Aveda products and technique to get your braids perfect every single time. Another look that has caught our eye this year is braids. Although they’ve been reappearing throughout the last few years, we are still in love with them and apparently so are everyone else. This being said, they can be fiddly to create, but we have found a messy look that’s easy if you’re in a rush. Using ‘Shampure™
Shampure Dry Shampoo will be your best friend for creating this look. Firstly, massage it into your scalp and roots. Then we recommend spraying Shampure Thermal Dry Conditioner on your mid-lengths and ends. Separate your hair into two sections, twisting each section around your index finger and pull them together just at the base of your hairline and tie. Braid the remaining hair and loop it through itself towards the top. Sound confusing? This video will show you exactly how!
Lastly on our style agenda here at Elysium hairstylists in Haslemere, we have the low voluminous ponytail. Sported by the one and only Gigi Hadid this year, it’s another simple one to create. Again, start by applying the Shampure Dry Shampoo to your roots, to refresh your hair. Follow up with Aveda’s Shampure Thermal Dry Conditioner, again to soften your ends and comb. Clip up the upper section of your hair and tie a low ponytail with the bottom section. Let down and loosely backcomb the upper section to create volume, before adding it to the low ponytail.
